John Burroughs High School
The John Burroughs High School is a public school in the City of Burbank, California that has a lot of things to be proud of. The school was named after John Burroughs obviously, but who John Burroughs is not a lot of people actually know. Burroughs was an American conservationist and naturalist who had a profound influence on the conservationalist movement in the United States. His conservationalist and naturalist ideas and beliefs became known to the public thanks to his series of essays which he continually published throughout the course of his work and research. It was in the year 1948 when the school was finally declared as a high school and became known as the John Burroughs High School, Burbank.
And so now we come to the part when we list down the achievements that John Burroughs High School of Burbank should be proud of. For one, the school was voted as the best public school in all of the city just last year, 2007. If being best public school of Burbank is not enough, the John Burroughs High school also has an Academic Performance Index score of 768.
